In every season of the church’s life, there is one pursuit that never grows old. It is knowing Jesus more deeply. Not simply knowing about Him, but growing in our understanding of who He is, what He has done, and how He continues to shape our lives today.
Beginning next Sunday, our church will be walking together through a year-long study titled More About Jesus. This study is designed to help us slow down and fix our hearts and minds on Christ week by week. Each lesson centers on a key passage of Scripture that reveals something essential about Jesus. His character, His teaching, His authority, His compassion, and His saving work.
The goal of this study is not information alone. Scripture reminds us that eternal life is found in knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent (John 17:3). As we spend time in God’s Word together, we pray that our knowledge of Jesus would lead to deeper trust, stronger faith, and more faithful living.
This study is for everyone. Whether you have followed Christ for many years or are just beginning to explore the faith, there is always more to learn about our Savior. The lessons are designed to be clear, biblical, and practical, encouraging discussion and reflection throughout the week.
As we begin this journey together, let us come with open hearts and teachable spirits. May this year be marked by a renewed love for Christ, a greater unity within the church, and a clearer witness to the world around us.
Our prayer is simple. That by the end of this year, we could truly say we know Jesus better than we did before.
