We love getting together and making memories. From Secret Sisters, Valentine Banquets, Birthday Celebrations, Ice Cream Social, etc., we love to participate in events of joy. We also want to be there for each other in times of grief.
Romans 12:15-16, "Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep."
We love planning and implementing special events for children, like Vacation Bible School, Holiday parties, Camp Canaan, etc.
Deuteronomy 11:19, "You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise."
We have camp grounds that we use for helping children celebrate national holidays in a safe environments. We also use it for a week long day camp each summer (Camp Canaan) and for congregational cookouts. Sunday evening services are held at the camp sometimes with a fellowship after the worship time.
Philippians 2:4, "do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."
We have Bible classes for nursery through adults. By the time our babies are ready for the toddler classroom, they are already learning about Jesus and His love for us.
Psalm 78:4, "We will not conceal them from their children, But tell to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done."
Our middle schoolers, teens, young professionals, and senior citizens strive to spread God's Word and to encourage one another through service projects and spending time together doing fun activities.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, 12, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! … And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
We are a praying church. We spend time each month at a member's home thanking God for His goodness and mercy and going before His throne with our concerns. Once a year our Triple L group (senior members) host a prayer brunch for the congregation to come together for a special time in fellowship and in prayer. We firmly believe that a church that prays together stays together.
1 Timothy 2:1-2, "First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity."
